Hello, I hope anyone can help me with some advice as I think I have to leave the country and my life in canada is ruined.
On June 2014, my lawyer applied for a nomination for me from the province of Alberta (engineering stream). My work permit was expiring on December 2014 and I was getting afraid that my nomination will just not come in time, so on September 2014 I went ahead and applied for a permanent residency myself, using Canadian Experience Class (CEC) application.
Two days before my work permit expired, I actually received a nomination, so I used it to apply to extend my work permit. On January (today) I received a letter that my work permit extension has been refused. And that I have 90 days to restore my status.
Right now I am without a job in calgary.i have no work permit and cannot restore it because I have no job offers. I can't even get a job offer that will wait for 4 months in order for me to restore my status and get my new work permit.
I thought about leaving the country and waiting for my CEC application to get approved, and then while outside canada I will get my PR and come back.
Another option is to restore my status as a visitor. I don't think I can do this because I will not have enough money to stay here as a visitor, because I need to work..
Another option is to get accepted to a university here and get a study permit, but I can't do that too because internatiom tuition costs are expensive.
Another option would be to get an LMIA. But still, I don't think an employer will wait for me to restore my status. That takes 4 months...
Also, should I let my CEC application go to approval (I have not received an AOR yet), or should I reapply for PR using the PNP way?
I don't know what to do. My goal is to stay and work in canada.
Please help!!
Khalil
