I received a letter but i dont know why i cant understand the hell they are talking about,i will really appreciate your help.
This is what is written:


Enter all income in canadian dollars from all sources inside and outside canada. do not include income that you ,your spouse have reported on canadian tax return if you have no income enter ''0''.

step1:Enter the year that you became a resident of canada. also, enter your income and that of your spouse from january 1 to the date you both became residents in that year.If your spouse did not become a resident of canada in this year ,leave that income box blank.You will need to report his income for this year on form ...early in the following year.

Year: your income: spouse income:

step2:Enter one year before the year that you entered in step1,and enter your income and that of your spouse for that year.

Year: your income: spouse income:


step3:Enter two years before the year that you entered in step1, and enter your income and that of your spouse for that year.Complete step3 only if you were a resident of canada from january through may during the year in step1.

(what the hell is that? i am a canadian citizen ,sponsoring my husband ,who is still backhome)

Contact the person who prepare your tax return so that you can fill in the blanks.

For CCTB you have to report your income and your spouses income to determine your eligibility. So as your spouse had no Canadian income, you have to know his overseas income.

it looks like they are more or only interested in the income earned before the applicants become PR. That income should not be counted as Canadian income. Why they ask that? The real question they need to ask about the income you earn in Canada and/or any income taxable for Canadian tax purpose.

Assuming that if i earned $70,000/year in USA, 2 months alter I moved to Canada, but no job and no income after moving to Canada, my income should be counted as 0.
