Ok, so I received a 520 today after my test and interview, but I never used my us passport for re-entry there as I have a Nexus card. How am I supposed to obtain the records the CIC officer just requested when they can't find me via the passport number?

Thank you. They only gave me 30 days to respond.

US citizens will not have I-94. So I guess the only option you have is to request your entry/exit records using FOIA.

Thank you. Just navigated the maze that was the FOIA request. I hope I've done it correctly online. I did create an account. I don't know what to do as it seems unfair that they requested something that won't even matter to my days as I have plenty. I also can't actually get the info they requested (i94). Sigh. I still don't think it's a big deal, but it may be a complicated one of such a straightforward application otherwise. I provided my nexus number as well as my passport number, as well as all of the crossings I believe I crossed, but requested all just to be safe.
How do they collect the $5?

If the FOIA request is for yourself it should be free, the website just needs something put in for a dollar amount. My husband ended up in the same situation (CIC asked for I94 but he's a US Citizen). Make sure you include a scanned copy of your passport Bio page (maybe include Nexus card since that's what you used to cross the border with). We just asked for the last 5 years and received it within a day. You'll get an email saying it's done but will have to log back into the site to download the PDF. Good luck!

Thank you! I did everything except uploading scans, which I'll add tonight.

Best of luck!

Can you please help how to request travel history through FOIA?
