HI I need your help, I'm a PR here in Canada and I plan to sponsor my husband who is in the Philippines, we have a kid and I'm currently pregnant right now so I don't have a job/income for now but my husband is willing to work here in Canada to be able to support me and our children, although my Mom is willing to help me with the finances and to sponsor him until he gets here, so does that still make me eligible to sponsor my husband even without a job? thank you

Yes, there is no minimum income requirement when sponsoring a spouse! They just want to make sure you have the means to support your husband if necessary (you said ur mom will help so that is good) and you are not on any government assistance (welfare)! So you are okay! You will be able to sponsor him

There may be minimum income requirement for dependent kids. are the kids in canada or overseas?

there is not a minimum income requirement for dependent children. the only time there is a minimum income requirement for spousal sponsorship is when the dependent child ALSO has a dependant child. (ie: a dependant under 19 who has a child of their own they want to bring to canada)

There is no minimum requirement when sponsoring a spouse and no minimum income requirement when sponsoring a spouse with an accompanying dependent!

The only time a minimum income is required is if you are sponsoring a dependent who has a dependant of their own that is accompanying them! So in ur case Raplaurenz, there is no income requirement for you -- unless you are sonsoring your dependant and they have a child of their own that is coming to Canada with them!

my mistake :)

Exception to minimum necessary income requirement
The ability to meet the minimum income requirement is mandatory, unless the
sponsor is sponsoring a spouse, common-law partner, conjugal partner or a
dependent child where the child has no dependent children of their own. This
exception also applies to persons under the age of 18 whom the sponsor intends to
adopt in Canada.

My first child is a landed immigrant here in Canada and he is only 4 years old, I am currently pregnant with our second child right now, so that made me decide to sponsor my husband here because he wants to help me raise our kids and support us his family. :)
