Hi all,

I got the CAIPS for my husband's file.

They had requested his passport in Oct 7th, and they received it on Oct 13

On oct 19, they requested for a document, and we sent it on Oct 30th

in CAIPS notes it says FILE BF'D TO: 3SD on 22-11-2009

Does that mean that although they have received the requested Document, they will open the file again on 22nd of nov and no sooner than that??

also is 3SD the initial of the Visa officer

Please help

thanks

No, it means if the document requested hasn't arrived by 22/11 they will check the file again. If the document arrives before the BF date, the file is brought forward to the officer when it arrives.

Hi all,

I got the CAIPS.

Why would they put a date in the past? It means that if there is no action on the file, it will be brought out of the registry on the 25th of November to an officer whose initials are EBC.
