I just got married last June and I want to sponsor my husband to be able to come here in Canada. But I remember I just sponsor my Aunt through the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program. How does this affect me? Will I still be able to sponsor my husband through CIC Spousal sponsorship?

So I can still apply for my husband sponsorship even though I still have the sponsorship for my aunt through the AINP?

* I am getting mix answers on this some people that I ask said No and some say yes.
* So people say I wont be able to sponsor my husband till after a minimum of 2 yrs.
* Someone also said that I should choose who I want to get here first if I want for my husband to get here as soon as possible I should cancel the application for sponsorship for my aunt but that would mean I wont be able to sponsor her again through the AINP.

AINP says you can not apply to sponsor another person until your old sponsorship is done but I don't think the federal sponsorship does that at all, say you wanted to sponsor your husband and parents at the same time federally, you can. Since you sponsor your aunt under AINP and your husband federally, I don't think it would be a problem.

I am really confused now... People at Alberta Immigration cant answer my question. people here and other forum and website give me mix answer...

I guess I will just do what ever and what ever happen, happen

You are applying through 2 different processes, Federal and Alberta.
So in this instance you can have 2 applications.
