HELP! No update on visa, classes starting in a week

Request for guidance from seniors.

Hello every one,

I applied for Canadian study permit on 08 Nov 2018 through VFS global Dubai, with medical in advance. Till now I have not received any update from the embassy. Classes are starting from 2nd of January. I am stuck here and don't know what to do.

When we check on VFS online tracking it says "Documents for Visa application, tracking ID No ... are under process at the Canada Visa Office, ABU DHABI."

1- We have contacted Canada Visa Office using IRCC Webform/email/call, no response from 2 weeks.

2- Called VFS no help from them.

We only have 1 week left, kindly advice what should we do?

What was the course you applied for?
I’m going to apply soon with my husband and 2 children and picked a degree from a public college but it doesn’t match my previous bachelors degree but I’ll be sending explanation letters as well.
I’m very happy you got ur permit

I applied for Masters in Big data.
I am not sure about your case I think LOE might work.

And don’t mind me asking but are you an arab ? I’m an Egyptian in Dubai.
And I cant find any arabs on this forum to compare with my self.

My nationality is Pakistani, I think the process for all nationalities is same. Lets me know if I can help in any way.

I would LOVE to know what was your application like?
How long did it take to obtain ur visa?
Online or paper based?

My application was for the study permit, I applied only for myself. I took 5 months for me to obtain the visa, I was not able to attend the January session I deferred my admission to September 2018.

Omg 5 months is alot of time,
Do you have any idea why it took such a long time?
Do you know any one else that got the study permit from UAE VO ?

Yes, it took alot of time as I had to get updated LOA (latter of acceptance) for next session, it took around 1 month.

Hopefully by the end of April I’ll be able to apply for the visas to attend fall semester.
