Hello and thanks in advance to anyone that can help.

Me and my girlfriend want to move to Canada, we currently reside in the United States.

We are both 22 years old.

I have good friend that lives in Fort McMurray and had planned on staying with him while working looking for our own place.

But were running into nothing but walls trying to make this as legal as possible.

We don't qualify for Skilled workers, no family that resides there. We don't want to do the PNP because we want to live with my friend. We don't have the kind of money to be able to save for the amount needed for the Proof of funds.

Getting temp worker seems like it could be our best bet, but that seems impossible from what I read cause no one wants to go through the hassle. Especially since we both have only our High School degree, we have like zero tradeskills.

Could we possible go to Canada to go to school maybe and work/school there until we can get out Canadian Experienced Class?

It doesn't seem possible for two young people to move to Canada wanting to start a life there!

Any help on what we can do?

If you get in on a low skill work permit, you will not qualify for Canadian experience class. However, you could try for a low skill permit in BC or AB where it is possible to get PNP for certain low skill jobs such as fast food worker, hotel reception and other jobs they have on their websites, see British Columbia PNP: http://www.ecdev.gov.bc.ca/programsandservices/pnp/ and Alberta AINP: http://www.albertacanada.com/immigration/immigrate/ainp.html

You don't need proof of funds for PNP when you are already in Canada with a job. If you work on a low skill permit for 2 yrs. without doing a PNP, you would have to go home for 4 months before you can apply for another permit unless you can upgrade to a skilled worker. One way to do that is say if you work in a fast food place and you get a promotion to shift manager, you have become a skilled worker already, can extend your work permit, apply for PNP without restriction or after 2 years on your skilled permit can apply for Canadian experience class.
