I thought I might ask if anyone knows if there is any possibility of whether I can get an extension on my work visa or any alternatives I have. I currently hold an open work permit via the IEC. It expires in November. I cannot apply again under IEC coz of my age. I have applied under family sponsorship Outland. I know with an inland I could just apply for a work permit along with the application but I didn't go this route as Outland is quicker.
Is there anyway around being able to extend my work visa just until I get my permanent status. I'm running out of time sigh. My current occupation it pays extremely well but I can't find a NOC code that fits and when I emailed to ask they gave me one was a C even though my work is professional. If I put an application to change condition will I get denied an extension? Any help would be great.

Your employer needs to obtain an approved LMIA in order for you to apply for a new work permit and continue working. This is your only option if you want to keep working. The LMIA process typically takes several months - so your employer should start now. The first step is to advertise the job for a month to prove no Canadian could be found for the role.

Without an approved LMIA, anything you try to submit to continue working is going to be refused.

Thanks for your help! LMIA is not an option available to me because any Canadian can fill my position.
I thought there may be other options though but yah seems like I don't have any other option than to stay as a visitor.

Yes - you can certainly convert your status to visitor.
