My copr was in Jan 2021, I think I did online landing or soft landing during covid time. and received my PR card in mail. At the same month, I left Canada and haven't go back to Canada yet. There were a lot of staff going on in the past 3 years for myself, I wasn't able to travel back to Canada. So i lived 0 days since my PR.

My PR expires in Jan 2026, and I'm pretty sure I won't be able to live 730 days in the next 2-4 years in Canada. Is it possible to renew my PR card after it expires in 2026?

You need to have lived in Canada for 2 years (730 days) out of the previous five years in order to successfully renew your PR card. If you won't be able to live in Canada for at least 730 days in the next 2 years, it will be very difficult to retain your PR status and you should assume there is a high probability your PR status will be lost.

Here's what you will need to do:
- Obtain a US visa and fly to the US
- Re-enter Canada through land boarder using a private vehicle
- Hope you are not reported by CBSA for failing to meet the residency obligation
- Assuming you are not reported, live in Canada for 2 years straight in Canada without leaving and then apply to renew your PR card after the 2 years.

I simply googled this

Time lived in Canada
To keep your PR status, you must have been in Canada for at least 730 days during the last five years. These 730 days don’t need to be continuous. Some of your time outside Canada may count towards the 730 days you need.

In a nutshell what’s the point of keeping it ?
PR cards aren’t like library cards . You can get a library card and never take out a book

PR cards have obligations
They aren't a back up
RO is EXTREMELY lenient
