I submitted my MPNP application under general stream in April 2011, got the reference number in april as well, anyone know how long will take for approval, on the letter said takes 6 months or longer.

anyone knows about time frame about similar case

thanks a lot!

eluo520,
some are so lucky they have the approval within six months, some are longer...I'm still waiting sponsor's interview and LOA (letter of approval)...Good luck to all of us...keep on praying!

Here’s my timeline:
MPNP General Stream (2 friend’s MAS)
March 21, 2011 – submitted application to MPNP
April 04, 2011 – AOR / additional docs requested (updated letter of reference)
May 12, 2011 – Submitted additional docs
October 2011 – Waiting Sponsor’s interview – LOA (in God’s grace)

Hi, thank you for your reply! My case is different than yours, if I did not have sponser, because I came here for school and get the degree here, I should apply for internation student stream, but, I change the job after I worked six months, so mpnp office switch my file to under general stream. BTW, can I ask what is means of waiting for sponser interview.

thanks,

My application is also under General Stream which is a "point-system", based from the posts I have read from this forum, usually the Program Officer interview the "sponsors", (in my case, two friends-who signed the MAS or Manitoba Affidavit of Support) and then based from the interview, they will issue a letter of approval or letter of refusal (if they think you have no "strong ties" with your sponsor) which means you have a low adaptability score. This is just my opinion. I am not sure how long is the processing time for your case.
