HI! I need a work permit so bad. IMMEDIATELY. now, I have a Temporary residence status under work permit valid till NOV 2014 here in Canada and have a US Visitors visa aswell. Currently waiting for my new LMO since my old employer sold their business to my new employer. I am thinking of flying to US and have a vacay for a week. If I have my new LMO with me, will I be able to get a new work permit at Toronto or Vancouver airport? or if I do flagpole. can I fly to US the next day? PLs somebody here. Need advise so bad.

after getting the new lmo , you have to get a new work permit. if you have a valid wp, then you can do a flag pole.

I do have a valid work permit with me now. (Not just under my new employer though) what I wanna do is to do flagpole if i got my new LMo to obtain WP in the POE. what do you think guys?

Since you have a US visa, you can try. However, note these are the requirements on CIC's website:

You can request authorization to work in Canada as you enter Canada but only if you meet the following requirements:
you are temporary resident visa exempt;
•you already hold a valid medical certificate, if it is required for your job; and
•your job does not need a labour market opinion (LMO) from Human Resources and Skills Development Canada (HRSDC) (some exceptions apply); or
•you hold an LMO from HRSDC.

If you require a TRV they can deny you a work permit. This hasn't been enforced historically, but there have been reports from other users of it being enforced lately. However, that enforcement has been sporadic, not universal. So the best anyone can really tell you is - you can try.

So i guess, better to do flagpole to get a new work permit the day after going to US right? since I live in NOrthern part of BC. to minimize travel cost. so frustrated. :( I don't have TRV. but since when going to US and ST Pierre and one more country I will be allow to enter Canada again.

As far as I understand, that US exemption is for valid single entry TRVs, not expired TRVs. You might want to verify that, because I'm not 100% sure.

I agree that this is a requirement as well.

There was a case on here recently where someone tried flagpoling with an LMO and job offer but without a valid TRV (and they were non visa exempt). They were refused. I think they were also told to leave Canada. I'm going to try to find that thread.

ohhhh now I am really frustrated what to do. :( Thanks guys tho

I can't find a the recent thread I was thinking of. However here's an older one that might be helpful:
