Do you need a visa to enter Canada? What country issued your passport?

I am already in canada and currently working in Penticton B.C. It's already for 7 months I am in canada but again I got new job and today I received LMIA so can I able to go US boarder and get work permit.

If you need a TRV to enter Canada then you cannot go to a border crossing to receive a work permit. You can submit an online application to the visa office for your country of residence. I have read that you can also submit paper application to the New York office. Hopefully others can add to this and provide more clarity.
