Hey guys,
I've applied for Canadien P.R in family class 2 yrs back.My husband is canadien and has a stable good job.I applied inside Canada as i am here for 3 yrs.If you know the average time taken by the immigration to give the P.R. card in family class inside canada pls let me know....thanks!

The average is 9-10 months to first stage approval and another 9 for PR, see http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm-fc.asp

Thanx guys for info...so it's average 18 months right,but i applied on 2009 april and it's been 2 yrs.Everytime i call them they says it's on process....really frustrating.I don't know how long they'll take more.....sucks :'(

What have you received during the processing period?

The times are an estimate, every case is different.

approval letter in 2010 then a work permit and medical. But i can't leave canada and with that work permit can't work with kids and my background is a pre school teacher.I can't take any course so there is lots of restrictions with that permit. My poor husband use to go out of canada every year for his vacation not he is stuck inside canada with me for 3 yrs.In june we've a big wedding of his stepsister in U.S and i'd planned a lot to go there thinking I'll get it by then but now it seems only i'll be lft here homealone.....by the way i live in Montreal,Qc

Lately applications are taking less time on average. i saw some inland applications from people on this forum being resolved in "just" ("read the" ") 10 months

A long list - background checks, some items would include - membership of political organizations, military service, foreign trips, personal history, etc.

Calls made once in a while should not delay the process.

Multiple questions are not an issue :)

I'm sure that there are people that call every week, I'm pretty sure....you can call whenever you want. I don't know if FOSS notes would be useful in the second stage of the process to understand why you application is slower than others
