Your spouse will have to sponsor you for PR using the inland process and include a open work permit with the application. Since you are in Canada without status, it's going to be at least a year (quite possibly more) before the open work permit will be approved. You should expect the sponsorship process to take quite a bit longer than normal since you failed to study when you arrived in Canada and have been out of status for quite some time. Hopefully you haven't work at all since arriving in Canada.
