why my wife in canada who is our sponsor are being requested by canadian embassy to submit also the generic form, schedule A background/declaration, etc?

On the document check list -sponsor it asks for
Generic Application form
Schedule A background/declaration
was all this sent in together with sponsor application?

Strange. I just checked the check list, and for the sponsor, it doesn`t ask for the Schedule A background/delclaration or Generic Application form. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5491E.pdf

It does however ask for them for the sponsored person (applicant).

It could be one of two issues:
1. the sponsor did not check off #7 - 12, so the officer considers them to "missing"; or
2. the sponsored spouse did not complete those forms; and now must submit them.

@mikera - do you have a copy of your entire application that was sent? If so, check whether your wife put a check mark against #7 - 12 and whether you completed all the forms.

in the checklist she receive today there is only portion that is highlighted.. does this mean the highligted portion is the only forms she needs to provide?

The documents list asks you to check off these documents on the sponsor sheet . The sponsor don't have to fill these in but must check them off the sheet and remit.

What bit did they highlight ?

There should have been a letter as well, telling you exactly what is missing. What does the letter say? Can you tell us the IMM number at the bottom of the form that was hightlighted? It would help us help you.

Do you have any proof that you have sent things e.g photo copies . It sounds like they have lost them or put in someone else s file by mistake .
