Help filling up the post-ITA application

Hello Everyone,

I am trying to fill up the post-ITA application and in the "Immigration History and Citizenship" section, it is asking me the questions below:

1. Have you applied to Citizenship and Immigration Canada before?

2. Have you applied for Permanent Residence (PR) before?

3. Please provide the Permanent Residence (PR) file number

4. If you have a Unique Client Identifier (UCI) please enter it below

I applied to CIC for PR back in 2014 (pre-EE days), and my application was returned due to CAP reached.

For the first two questions, I answered "Yes", and provided the UCI from my previous application on question 4.

However I do not have a PR file number, and the system is auto-populating this question with a previous EE I have which is obviously no longer active.

Is it ok to use a previous EE number as PR file number? Or should change question 2 to no, and then just forget about this.

To sum it up:

- Have you applied for Permanent Residence (PR) before? - Yes

- Please provide the Permanent Residence (PR) file number – Don’t have one

- If you have a Unique Client Identifier (UCI) please enter it below – Provided
