I want to take plumbing pre-apprenticeship program. does anyone knows if i can register as apprenticeship as international student or not. If i can, can i apply work-permit by doing apprentice? I mean apprenticeship usually takes 5 years, so i need at least 5 year work permit.. Thanks a lot

1. Registered Apprenticeships in most Provinces require that you are a Permanent Resident or Canadian citizen.
2. No LMIA or work permit will be issued for an apprenticeship.

1. It doesn't specifically say that, but since there are Canadian Citizens and PRs available for apprenticeships, they won't issue a LMIA.

I am interested in taking this same course. How did you get accepted as an apprentice? Is it paid? Do you need a work visa and study permit?
