Hello friends
I am Arun. I am a student pursuing Masters's in BC. In June my grandmother and father passed away due to covid and I came back to India. Currently, I am experiencing an issue pertaining to visa expiry. My Canadian TRV is expiring on July 31, 2021. However, my study permit is valid till November 30, 2021. Further, I also have a valid US tourist visa for the next 9 years. As of now, I have completed the rest of my course online and became eligible for PGWP. I had applied for an extension to my TRV when I was in Canada and it is still in process. Now I am stuck in India and unable to fully finish the application process. Please advise me on how to resolve this issue. Is there a way to get a TRV so that I can go back to Canada? Thanking you and how a great day.

I am sorry for your loss. You should be able to apply for PGWP without any problem from India if you have graduated and have proof of graduation and other documents. Have you sent in a webform indicating that you are no longer in Canada and you are in India for your TRV application.

I was in Canada while applying for the extension. However, I had to come back to India due to an emergency. Now I am in India and cannot receive my updated TRV stamped in my passport since I submitted my application from a Canadian address.

How do I do that, friend? Can you guide me through the process?

Is your TRV is approved and you were issued with passport request?

Yes, my TRV was approved, and stamped my passport from India. For some reason, they gave me a visitor visa for seven years when I applied for an extension of my student visa. Also, I submitted my application while I was in Canada.
