Thanks PMM for the response. My spouse put in the application to sponsor me about 3 months ago ...we haven't heard from Immigration yet ..but however they've put our information in their system.

I'm stable now financially and out of social assistance. Do I have to inform Immigration? The three months I've been on assistance ...would it affect the permanent residence decision? Any ideas or suggestions will be appreciated.

Hey you.

I am not PMM, however If I was you, darn right I would notify them, by a clear letter sent to the centre you sent the application to with my ID number. It wont hurt and I will only show you and your partner are still together and still waiting for the PR.

With CIC err on the side of TMI (too much information)

Assuming you were on Income Assistance I would definitely submit the extra information with a letter from your employer stating that you are and have been employed with them since whatever your start date was, as well as including your gross wage/monthly/annual earnings.
