here is my situation:
I got married in May in Montreal, QC. My wife is as Canadian as they come. We applied for PR and an open work permit for me.
My PR application is still ongoing where I am waiting for CSQ, police certificates etc. however, my Open Work Permit (OWP) has been approved and I have it with me. I will be going to get an SIN soon.
My Questions:
1) Do I get health insurance by the government? (I live in Quebec btw)
2) I have my visitor visa to Canada which expires in early December 2017. Do I need to keep renewing my visitor visa now that I have an Open Work Permit valid for two years (till 2019)? Or can I let that slide.
