Thanks a lot for your reply ,can u plz let me know what are the health illness will be including in this health insurance and for the dental what can i do for that..Leon said:You get it right away. You have to go to a registry and apply for your health card there.
Dental is not included. You can either get supplementary insurance from the Blue Cross or some other insurance company or wait until you get a job because most employers include supplementary insurance.sam.ums said:Thanks a lot for your reply ,can u plz let me know what are the health illness will be including in this health insurance and for the dental what can i do for that..

You clear my so much doubts about the health insurance. You told me about supplementary insurance but I have the job offer in edmonton under NOC C but he is not providing me this insurance. Now i think after landing i will double check with my employer if he's not providing than i have to go for Blue Cross or other insurance companies as u mentioned aboveLeon said:Dental is not included. The insurance does include pretty much every time you must go to a doctor unless you need them to fill out some paperwork for you. Say you need a certificate of physical health for some reason or you need them to fill out paperwork because you want to apply for sickness benefits, then you might have to pay. Going because you are sick or hurt is covered. If you need to see a specialist, you must go to a general practitioner first and get a referral to the specialist. This is also covered.
Medication is not covered but if you have supplementary health insurance, they would pay a part of that.
Thanks for the link provided by you. i had search that, really helpful for meLeon said:You can find the AB Blue Cross here: https://www.ab.bluecross.ca/individuals-families/index.html They don't have prices on there but you can phone them. Their cheaper plans seem to have a maximum coverage of $600 for dental per year with a waiting time of 3 months after you join the policy. If you need a lot of dental work done, you might want to take a more expensive plan that covers more work. You can also talk to an insurance broker or look for another insurance company, see http://www.google.ca/search?q=edmonton+insurance+broker+health+dental
