Hi .. we are arriving in Canada in March after receiving PR and would require medical insurance for the first 3months. Would it be ok to buy a international medical insurance from an Indian company as it is cheaper than the Canadian ones. Will there be any issues with cashless treatment?

Better to buy from a Canadian insurer. Making a claim with a company in India may require you to do international mailing for receipts and deal with international phone calls. Also they may insist you return to India to continue coverage if there are any emergencies that require expensive/extended treatments (need to read the fine print).
Any suggestions on reputable Canadian Insurers selling affordable insurance plans?
