Hi Everyone,

I am having difficulty finding the the exact NOC code for my job. I worked as a Load Forecasting Analyst. I couldn't find this title on the NOC website. The only code that matches mostly with my title and duties is the 4162 code (Economists and economy researchers and analysts). Its duties match with my duties mostly but the problem is that the education required for this code is master's degree whereas for my job usually a bachelor's degree is required but master's degree is acceptable too or sometimes preferred as well.

So I am not sure should I use this code to apply for my immigration because the Visa Officer might object that I have a Bachelor's degree.

Please provide some help on this.

Thanks a lot.

As discussed on this forum....VOs are more interested in your duties matching than your title. Recently, more and more, we have seen them trying to match the main statement of the job description with the position description you provide. Mismatching the position with the NOC should be your primary concern.

You already have a degree and you wouldnt be the first person to have worked at a higher level without an advanced credential. I personally think there will be no objections here, as long as everything else lines up with the NOC.

Thanks CEC 2013 !
