Hi. I have an extended student permit expiring in 8 months. I already graduated and cannot applied through a post graduate work permit. I'm a naturopathic doctor and found a clinic that offered me a place to work from. The agreement would be a split of all income I make, doctors rarely are paid salaries and are more like independent contractors. Because it is not a salaried position, it seems I can't do the LMIA, and I'm not sure how can I get a work permit to start working and stay in Canada. I want to apply for permanent residence as soon as I have the work experience here (which I understand is 1560 hours within a year if FT or 2yrs if PT). Can I apply for an open work permit for 2 years? How can I get a work permit? or can I maybe apply for permanent residence somehow? My immediate goal is to get a work permit for 2 yrs. How can I accomplish this?

I appreciate any information that sends me in the right direction. Thanks!
