Hello all,

I have been in Canada 9 years, completed my degree here and working currently on a PGP(post graduate work permit) for 3 years [NOC] B 2281, which will expire at the end of May. I completed my express entry in February , but it was incomplete because I only listed 3 years job experience in Canada, but now I listed all my job experience, I have a score of 468 since yesterday.I am a bit anxious and want to know what are my options, have my employer complete a LMIA or wait to be accepted?

Thank you

If all goes well hopefully you should receive an ITA this Wednesday (if the draw happens, which most likely it will), if not then may be next.

What i mean is that 468 is quite a good score, and you will get an ITA sooner than later. So i don't think you'll need to go the LMIA path.

All the Best!

Hi,
if there's going to be a draw this Wednesday you'll probably (99% on it)receive an ITA. Submit your PR application and after that (sooner than your current PGWP expires though) apply also for a BOWP (I assume all your documents are ready by now). You'll be able to continue working under an implied status till you receive (hopefully positive) decision on your BOWP.

With 468, you're definitely getting an ITA in this upcoming draw (probably this Wednesday) or in the one after that at the very latest- I'd just accept that and send my application in for processing asap!

Now that CRS is 470 and above, getting more worried now with 468, I have only 2mths left here legally, what should I do?

apply for PNP (how long does it take) or apply for LMIA (which I hear is very hard to get)

im in a similar position, i am at 469, i had received an ITA previously but got rejected for a PCC error and now im waiting for an ITA again, was expecting one today but was not happy to see 473..gonna see what happens on next draw or else i will apply for PNP

Hi Guys

I am in super panic mode because I too have a PGWP and I just started my new job ...I have been barely there for a month. However I have been working the past three years and last year I got laid off hence why I held off applying through express entry. I was not smart and haven't been and now I'm losing is because my work permit expires in May and my CRS score was a mere 437. I'm hoping to apply for a BOWP but I haven't even recieved an ITA. I am not sure what to do at this juncture. Time is not on my side and leaving Canada will be my last resort since I will be out of status.

There's no chance that you will get ITA by May under FSW or CEC - likely no chance this year with that score.

Start looking for an employer willing to go through the LMIA process or look into the Provincial Nominee programs.

Yea I didn't think I would make the cut....will try the PNP but they too can take long or not even nominate me to begin with

If i were you ,I will wait for the next draw and then take a decision.(Not gonna delay if i dont get an ITA in the next draw, I prefer PNP, Just my opinion). Act smart, choose wisely.
Good luck.

I think you can wait till next draw before you explore other options. I have CRS 469 and pretty optimistic that i will get an ITA in next draw ... hopefully 23 Mar.

ok cool , thanks, will decide on the next draw. Its just weird the score shot up like this. But anyways, thanks.

i suggest u apply to every province PNP, the less popular ones would nominate u i hope, without that i doubt u would get ITA in the near future

try PEI Nova scotia Manitoba etc
