We applied for CSQ under the self employed program in 2011. The applicant is a self employed Filmmaker with a small independant company of 3 people. His company is listed as Sole proprietorship. Had our interview in HK November 2013 and got a rejection letter a week after the interview. The officer did not think that the principal applicant was a true self employed person.Plus they didnot give us English points saying that we did not submit IELTS exam test score.
We sent our case for administrator review in feb 2014 with a complete audit from the top auditing firm(E & Y) of the applicants self employed business. Plus the IELTS condition is not applicable for cases submitted before Oct 2013, hence it is not applicable on us. The whole interview was conducted in English and the officer himself remarked on the applicant's english speaking skills.
My question is:
1. We have still not received an acknowledgment from Quebec office of receiving the case for administrative review? Has anyone else experience such delay?The Quebec official website says that it takes 30 days to send an acknowledgment reply.
2. What are the chances of being accepted for CSQ after being rejected? I know it is a vague question but the officer didnot do justice with our case and had the false impression of believing that the applicant is not self employed.
Any help in general will be appreciated.
