Hi Léon and everybody
My pr card got expired in sep 2011 and i didnt meet residency obliation but i didnt know that i can stay an acumulate 730 days.so i applied for renewal while i was fillin nist 1 year out of 5 year and after 2 months i git à letter from them that they cant send myprcard ontime and i can get i by delay.so i called them several times but didnt get helpful information.but finally last week after around 1 year and a half i recieved a lettre from ottawa that i should prove that i have been here for 2 years out of the last 5 years.it means that from feb2013 back to feb 2008.so i attachésd enough documents and filled out the rrsidency questionare form and sent it.so i should menti.tion that i had 2 and a half year out of 5 year.now my question is that how long does it take for them to respond me according tot similar cases.

In the letter it was mentioned that if i dont satisfy ghe officer with enought document my case will be closed in 3 months.but i had plenty of documents to prove.so does it mean that i can get my pr card vert soon.im really frustrated of waiting for my prcard.
Thanks for Any response in advance

You made a mistake and applied too early. This means that they looked at the 5 years before your application date. You did not fulfill the residency requirements during that time. Now that you have 2 out of 5 years, you should simply apply again.

Get your travel history from CBSA to make sure your dates fit the dates that immigration has. Include evidence like bank records, lease, letter from your employer or school etc.

thank u dear Leon for your response
but my case is in process and im scared to withdraw it.but in the residency questionare they sent me last week they wanted to know how long i have been here in the past 5 years from the date i was getting this questionare.and i have been here more than 2 and a half year.so do u think still there is a problem or no?and do u know how long does it take approximately to make their decision after residency questionare?
thanks in advance

hello all
does anybody know how long it takes to be replied for residency questionare?after 1 year and a half of my request of pr card renewal i got this residency questionare.wanna know how long approximately it takes to get an answer.everyday i chec my online status and its still the same.has anybody the same experience?
thx for any comments

Did they mentioned clearly that "5 years from the date you receive this letter" or is your interpretation. Since you are already 2.5 years so make it 3yr out of 4yr and apply for Citizenship.
The PR card or Citizenship process time, no one can give u time period as it depends a lot on case to case. Normally it take max. 6 months from date of application, but your case already over 1 1/2 yr. Wait n See is best way going forward as you already made one mistake.

Thank u Hasher for ur answer
I have good news, today I got a letter from immigration office in Ottawa.they have approved my case and transferred it to stclair office for prcard issuance.I'm soooo happy, can't believe that I got finally approved after such a long time.
