Hi everyone!

I have been living with my common law partner since Jan 1, 2011 and thus, I have put down Jan 1, 2011 as the effective date of my common law relationship on ALL the previous applications of my study/work permits.

However, it now comes to my attention that I should have put down December 31, 2011 instead.

I am applying for CEC and which date should I put down on form IMM0008? I do not want to create an inconsistency but December 31, 2011 is technically the right one.... Maybe I should just leave it as Jan 1, 2011?

Thanks so much!

I imagine that would probably be a fairly common error... Personally I would think it would be better to correct it - it doesn't affect you partner's eligibility - than risk the error being discovered and being interpreted differently...
