Hi guys,

I as hoping somebody could assist me. I have a BC PNP valid up until November and I am currently applying for a PR. I have done my Medical and next stage will be surrender passport.

However before that happens is it possible for me to go on a short holiday to USA. I'm looking to go away for 4 days. Will I have an issues getting back in the country?

I'm Irish, have PNP and proof that PR is been processed.

Any help / advice would be greatly welcome.

Thanks,

John

I'm on BC PNP and I've been the Seattle a couple of times now and didn't have a problem when I came back into Canada.

Hi thanks for your reply. I know you can go through the border via Seattle. What I'm wondering is if you can fly? I heard it is a different process.

Thanks

Can't see why. A point of entry is a point of entry no matter where is it or how you get there.

I guess you could give BC PNP a email/ring and ask.

Hey,

I've been travelling to Chicago every other week, staying there for 5 days. Never had any issues and my PR processing is completed. Just make sure you have your Visa and permit required to re-enter Canada :)

Cheers!
Sandy

Thanks Sandy. Am I right in saying that you travelled to Chicago prior to your PR been fully processed. (i.e. BC PNP with application been processed)

I'm trying to call the BC PNP but its impossible sometimes to get through!

That's right. I've been travelling since the submission of my PR application.
