Have AOR - when do I get a UCI number

Hey guys,

Sorry if this has been answered before, but I googled it and couldn't find a good answer.

I submitted my application last week (7 Aug) and immediately received an AOR note. I'm Outland, from Australia.

Now my question is, should I have also received a UCI number? If not, when do applicants usually get one?

I also applied for an IEC visa which was recently approved, but this didn't have a UCI number either.

Does it even matter?

UCI is an 8 digit number that CIC provides on all communication after your file is created in GCMS. If you get a document request, you'll probably find it mentioned in that letter.
