You need to contact them as soon as possible.

Fill out this form:
https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-...2.2041657693.1501882831-1855558094.1501882831

Then send an email to Havana-im-enquiry@international.gc.ca

If he has family in Havana, maybe someone could go to the embassy.

You need to let them know about this situation so that they can reschedule the interview.

Hi Thank you! I emailed them and I get a return message that it couldn't be sent... I will for sure fill out that form, as well as try calling again on Monday. I couldn't reach them today, didn't know they closed at 12 on Fridays, and they sent the email at 11;17 am :/ He has a good buddy there we will ask. Thank you SO much!!!!!!

Try this email adress then havan@international.gc.ca (I took it from here http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/cuba/contact-contactez.aspx?lang=eng). It is curious that the other email address is not working, it is taken from here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/offices/missions/havana.asp#enquire-renseigner

Hi ANOTHER question
We got a police certificate through a local police station thanks to a friend there. But now CIC is asking for ''The contract and receipt issued by Consultoria Juridica at the time the Police Certificate was requested.''
What the heck is that? In Cuba there is no receipt for the Antecedentes Penales... Can anyone tell us what this is??!!

Alright some very good news - no idea how we got this call. But last week Havana immigration emailed me told me they have finished reviewing his application and to bring his passport and visa pictures, and that police certificate, on Wednesday (today) at 8:30... he went in today at 8:30, they gave him back half our stuff, told him to leave his passport and come back at 2:30 ... AND HE GOT THE VISA!!!!!!! I already had a trip planned to leave Friday so he will be coming home with me on December 11th.

Keep the faith everyone!!!! Havana is moving forward its coming for you all soon
Hi, I was wondering how to get the receipt or contract from the Juridica... We gave them a police record from a regular cop staton but they want the receipt from consulterai.. My husband lives in USA with me, so there is no way to get the certificate unless he shows up in Cuba, right? This is so so messed up.

In order to have a legal Police check that the immigration will except you must have it issued by Consultoria Juridica in your city or town of residence in Cuba they will give you a receipt for the $65 cuc and it is now taking up to 3 months. The Police check is only valid when it has the stamp on the certificate.

Thanks again Galano, you are literally the only few helping us out here!!! We sent one with 2 round stamps of the Minister of Justice and a blue rectangular sticker with words Cinco Pesos written on it. Isn't that enough? Or it has to be stamped by the Consultoria? Also my husband doesn't reside in Cuba since 2009, but is still Cuban citizen, and lives in USA with me with a green card... (CIC sent his app to Cuba being he's still citizen and I'm working on having it sent to NYC... (ugh) ) So like how do we get the Consultoria record done from the outside? No way he is flying to Cuba just for a paper :/

Go to/contact the Cuban embassy. The police check must be done in the consultoria juridica..not a local police station. It takes at least a month to process.

Ok will try again. They never answer the phone and take years to reply to emails... the Cuban embassy in USA is like unreachable :(

Does your spouse have any family in Cuba still? Maybe they can request it on his behalf?

Unfortunately that will not work as they will only allow the person who it is for request it . The only other was is perhaps through Cuban Embassy worth a try and They do not answer the phone but do answer emails eventually Keep trying.

My husband did his medical on May 11th...i was told that it takes about three months to process. Today i recevied a response from Havana VO saying that it was sent to Ottawa on July 6th, does this mean it takes three months in Ottawa to process?? Or is it three months in total??
They again said that this was the only thing holding up the visa issuance??
