Hi girl1973
So you didn't have the interview yet? Wow, that's bad...If we don't get the interview by April 28, my wife has to do the medical again and I have a feeling that may be the case. We were extremely optimistic until December but then we realized what was going on and now we are the total opposite, we're just preparing for the worst. I hope they'll call you to the interview...Best of luck!

Hi, no interview yet and as far as we know we aren't on the interview list yet. Our understanding is we are stuck at the security stage. Going to email this week to ask for a medical extension. My husband has two children so I'm praying they extend them because of the cost. Good luck to everyone!!

Hi,

Anyone submit sponsorship in February? I'm wondering how long it takes for the Sponsorship to be approved in Mississauga? I saw online it said 57 days...If someone can provide their time line, please let me know.
I submitted on Feb 21.

57 days if everything in the application is in order if not you will receive an email for whatever is missing. If they require no updates you will receive a letter confirming you have been approved as a sponsor with a client number and the file will be forwarded to Havana.

Hello all!

I recently sent an email asking if my husband should get a new police check as it expires soon. In their response they said no, and included our file is awaiting to be reviewed by an officer. Awhile back we received a request for new schedule a and rprf.

Can I take anything from this? Would they have mentioned your file is awaiting an interview? Any similiar situations?

Girl1973, I was also worried for the medicals bc we were over 15 months since it's been done and we never asked for extension. We weren't required to redo them so I guess they extend automatically?
Regardless it doesnt hurt to email them.

I saw this on the CIC website:

The application assessment process
The Case Processing Centre in Mississauga, Ontario (CPC-M) will review your sponsorship application.

Your application will be returned to you if:

it is incomplete,
the sponsorship and processing fees are missing, or
If we begin to process your application, we will:

send you an acknowledgment of receipt letter with an application number,

assess your eligibility as a sponsor, and
assess if the person you are sponsoring meets the permanent residence requirements.

Did anyone receive an acknowledgement letter? From what I heard, it is solely the approval letter.

Its Call the AOR1 Aand AOR2, Wich means Acknowledgement of receivement, the first one, letin you know that the received the file,
and the second one is letin you know that the did transfer the file to the Visa Ofice, Some visa ofice does not send this letters
and just start the process.

Galano, when the CIC asked you for additional info/ missing info how far into the "57" days was it?

isn't it safe to assume if there was issues with the other applicant that mentioned she submitted Feb 2016 she would have already been notifed?

what are yoru thoughts?

I never got asked for addition/missing info from the CIC

Congratulations Kikina!!

Just goes to show that every situation is different. Passing the 2-4 month wait period without hearing anything does not necessarily mean an interview. Anything can happen!

Both times it was nearing the time on the CIC web site and then of course your file is pushed to the end of the time line once again. Sent July 11,2014 and with all the requests and the fact that they had it put in Inland instead of Outland we were not put in considered Complete until Oct 17,2014 and than delayed until it was sent to Havana Jan 6,2015 .

but in your case the file was sent back twice? if you apply inland when it's supposed to be outland that's a completely different application is it not - I am just trying to see if the CIC would contact earlier than later if there was an issue... like a minor one... anyhow regardless... I will ALWAYS stay true to my theory...

NO NEWS IS GOOD NEWS!!!

Good luck with the medical its coming up soon! Hopefully you get some good news soon- if not, JUST MOVE THERE and they wont be able to say no to you!!!
