I just read an article in The Star about how incompetent CIC actually is. It's depressing.

Certainly not a surprise to me as I have been the recipient of their incompetence first hand all I can say is the people that work there need a job review badly I guess they don't realize they are playing with real peoples lives . My MP's office staff can't believe some of the thinks they put honest people through It is real scary and it seems nothing can be son to change it.

Hi There - Do any of you use Trackitt (.) com? I have been on that site for a while now, but there are no other active Cuban national applications. So far I have been comparing my application to other individual/nationality processes. It is really simple and makes reviewing and comparing cases relatively easy.

Thanks,

trackitt / canada-immigration-trackers / family-class (you can't post links so you will have to google it, if you want to check it out)

Thanks everyone for sharing their information here. It has been enlightening.

I am going to try it . Today I received a second email from CIC it was another AOR with a different UCi number and same file number as I have had since July application Any ideas as to what is going on ?

you will have a UCI (for SA) and your husband will have his own. Is this his UCI maybe and the AOR for PR? Where was the AOR from? Mississauga or Havana? Maybe they need to issue you a new UCI because of the inland/outland mess up.

I believe we have 2 UCI numbers (I know for sure we have two Immigration File Numbers), one is mine and one is my husbands. Unfortunately, it sounds like your case might be a bit more complicated. :(

Well I will have my MP call CIC Wednesday and I will hope this is my husband's UCI number and we are nearing an end to this nightmare.

Hi Galano, do you ever login to the CIC website? You can see if the UCI is yours or his based on who's personal information is required for the name, DOB and place of birth.

Maybe an alternative option. Good luck!

Yes I was on it today with the original UCI number it says a letter was sent Dec 31st have not received it however it is only 4 business days for Canada Post. Have not tried the new UCI number will try that with my husbands info.

Just tried new UCI number no info would not show anything using husbands info

Sorry this is happening :( I know I couldn't use my CIC until I had my SA, but this is probably not the case here. Not that the CIC website provides a ton of great information. It is very frustrating.

Do other's have information in their "Permanent Residence Application Status" field on the CIC website? Mine is sadly minimal. Does yours say application received or in-process? Sorry if this has been covered in past post... I am just getting up to speed.

I don't think the CIC website is updated very often. I've had "application received" and "medical received" for a while now. I've also paid my RPRF but they never updated my status since then. I had to e-mail the office in Havana to get a confirmation

My husband's status also just says "Application Received" since Jun 12/14. I ordered the GCMS notes and can see it is in progress. The application status checker would be so useful if they actually updated it.

How long did it take to receive the notes?
