Questions for all of you: Seeing as we know that they will be requesting the additional info for schedule A, would you send it (via the Case Specific Enquiry – Havana web portal)? or wait for the phone call? How would my husband get the information to the VO? He lives too far to go there to drop it off, and cuban mail is sketchy. Your advice?
Jesus that would be torture for me because I'm not a patient person. Knowing myself I would prob go ahead and send it and if they get it the get it and if they sent the request I would just send it again. But I'm crazy these days so I don't know lol. Maybe so,done who has had experience sending something without them asking will be able to give u a proper answer hehe

Background/Declaration

Where you have to put the history for the past 10 years (jobs, school, unemployed, etc), education w/dates, military service w/dates, etc

... on to your question, get it ready to go. Call DHL they do courier to cuba and I know that the VO uses DHL when they ship medicals rush - SO THAT MIGHT BE YOUR BEST OPTION, its costly though... but what isn't?

I'm back. But...I have a little news too. I got my notes while I was away and I was able to download them (extremely slowly) from the hotel wifi lol. My notes were exciting. I almost cried. They recommend the interview be waived and recommend a pass for his visa. It says medical is complete and approved and the criminal check is in progress with a due date of Sept/14 (?) and security not started with a due date also in Sept. I'm guessing that everything is done for him and they are just sitting on his Visa until the new year. :/

MrsHubby, my husband also had to fill out Schedule A a second time back in September and we had to take it to the embassy when I was there because I didn't trust the mail. Apparently only DHL is the only way for you if he can't drop it off. It needs his signature so it can't be uploaded. (annoying) My notes also showed that they had received the extra info which is one of the reasons I ordered them because even dropping them off in person, I didn't trust it.

Does anyone know anything about the stamp that they get in their passport once getting the Visa that allows them to travel to other countries? Is it called the PRE? Any idea on cost?

Such a pain that it has to be dropped off. Being 18 hours away makes it really difficult. That was the biggest reason we were hoping the interview would be waived, because now it means more trips to havana. I am do frustrated and fed up... thank goodness i will be seeing him soon, because right now,i don't have anything left emotionally or financially!!!

I don't understand why DHL is the only way you can send? If it's being sent within Cuba can't u just use regular mail?

We could send it regular cuban post, but i'm not sure i trust it. Even DHL "lost" 2 out of 3 packages we sent. Luckily with the travking number it got sorted out after 1.5 months for 1 and 2 months for the other. I guess it will be DHL. Do i wait for them to request it, or just send it?

I would send it along with a note that u saw it in your notes, but I'm inpatient sooooo. I mean I don't think it could hurt? I mean u have a file number so It would just go to your file...I think

Hey did u guys hear? It's pretty much official now, Obama is going to lift the Trade Embargo on Cuba. I hope and pray this will have a positive impact on the Cuban people :)

I know you asked justagirl, but I can tell you it took me 32 days (counting weekends). I ordered them on November 13, they ran the report on November 16, and sent me the email on Dec 15.
