Shuster- Everything seems to be fine for me on my end (I guess we'll see when I hit the post button!).

LuvCuba- Can you tell me when you submitted your app to CIC? And when it was transferred after approval to Havana? I'm just curious because I sent mine in June and was transferred in August, trying to guesstimate when my husband could hear something on his end!

I submitted to CIC May 23. Got email from them July12 acknowledging receipt. Email approving received July 16. We received a call from Havana on SEpt 24 asking for birth certificate which we faxed to them on 26th. Oct.5 he received a call for interview

Here's hoping to no interview. Lol

Just tried to copy and paste the email I got from cic about his address change and the site won't let me post.

Their response was. "Info added to file. We will not send a response I within case processing times"

I did not receive the generic email from them, so hopefully that means my file is opened etc.
getting really frustrated but I know how they can be.
Hopefully I'll know something by the time I go down on the 26th
If I haven't heard anything I will drop off an envelope with additional proof etc.

Good at least you got something!! Seems like everything is perfectly on track then! KJG submitted a month before you so you should be hearing smthg at any point now!! So excited for all you girlies!

Hey Luvcuba, you need to post 10 times to be able to be a full member! As soon as you do that you'll have those options in your profile menu!

Shuster- I bet your husband will get a call this week! It only makes sense! Did you guys put e-mail for correspondence or phone numbers? My husband put both the house phone and cell phone but not the email which keeps worrying me!

I had my e-mail and phone numbers along with my husband's cell. He received the call on his cell. Shuster I'm sure this week you'll get a call.

I know......we had friends over when we got back and then went out to Varadero to our first "date" spot and I was contemplating something and he is like baby.....what are you thinking and I honestly looked over at him and said my love...my closet.....I will have to share with you!!!! I haven't shared my closet in a long time....LOL

So I am just so excited that he is here for Christmas!!!!

I hear you KJG; I have a walk in with no room for his clothes. Better start purging now.
This is the best Christmas present you could ask for.

Ok good.. I've become a complete nag telling my husband, remember keep your phone on you, remember stay by the house phone and make sure it gets answered when you can't! lol he's being very..... patient.... with me. lol

On top of that, knowing it could be another month (and most likely will at least be that long) before we hear anything... cant help but worry.

Anyone else felt like this third and final step (3rd for me because I had to do Quebec's MICC too) has been the most stressful??

I hear you; I kept telling my husband leave your cell on at all times. When I was there for 2 weeks in September; I kept his cell with me.

You will get that call....any day now......I totally understand how frustrating and upsetting this whole process is...After 5 years being together I want to be together NOW..............It frustrates me about an interview; after 5 years they should know it's legit...

Yes he started that today....got some new marriage certificates, has spoken to his boss for his liberation letter and tomorrow he deals with the ministry of transportation. Liberation letter is suppose to be under two weeks so we will hope for that!!!

Why did you get new marriage certificates? I've told Juan to go the ministry of transportation for the letter. I believe he has his liberation letter already as he was part of the major layoffs in Jan. 2011. Since then he's done contract work at different resorts.

Was there any addition fees once the visa is issued? I was told another $500 cuc for police and medical? Also does he have to fly "Cubanair? or can he flew a canadian airline?
