Our application was received on March 21st, 2012, AOR received June 26th, 2012, File Transfered to LA (supposedly) June 28th, 2012, with a "Medicals Received" notice. No word of it being "In Process" yet. Is it possible to have an application finalized and receive a PPR without ever being "In Process" on ecas?

Yes, for me......my ecase was the longest time on just "app. received/medical received" and went straight to "decision made"....i never saw "in process", either i missed it cause it was just for 1 day in there and i just didnt log in that day or they just skipped it. My process was over all pretty fast at my VO.

Ecase isnt 100% reliable, its more an oriantation when you have no other infos it can help. But ya its very much possible that an application is being processed and finalized even if it doesnt show on ecase for a while. Also a person from our VO thread just had PPR email with ecase still showing "app. received".

Yes I do remember reading in the forum about this posted by members. Status changing from Application Received to Decision Made directly without going into In Process.....Good luck

It happened to me too.. Eveything changed from "application received" to "decision made".

Don't worry abou ECas too much, it is not accurate.

Same here. My passport was requested 2 months ago and ecas still says "application received".

yep. most of my batchmates in Jan-Manila went from Application Received to Decision Made.

I'm curious to know if the DM has shown up before or after any correspondance from the VO?

My DM showed up before any correspondance from my VO.
Besides AOR there was no correspondance between me and the VO, just saw DM on ecase one day and the COPR came about 1 week later.

Alongside with the OP's question.. is it common for e-cas to never show "medicals received"?

Our app went straight from being received to decision made.....there was never any "in process" either.....

I got my PPR before my application went "In Process". It did go to "In Process" before "Decision Made" for about a week though, after I'd gotten the PPR.

So after more 2 months of my PPR, my application status on eCas changed from "Application Received" to "In Process". Hopefully in a week it will go to "Decision made"....fingers crossed:)
