You stated that you were concerned about being denied due to being on the banned country list not the fact that you had claimed asylum in the US and the walked across the border without going to a legal border crossing. Both issues will likely lead to a refusal but you never know.

Based on previous examples those who have crossed by foot through irregular border crossing or have used their tourist visas to land in the US then claim asylum have been refused. Every case is different. Using my spare time to answer immigration questions versus surfing the web, playing video games or watch tv is so obnoxious of me
