Hi,

I am on H1b visa in US and since my visa expired, looking to book an appointment in Canada for visa stamping.
I have a Canada PR card and also have a residential address in Canada but living in US for work.

During appointment booking, can I select "No" for this question -
"Are you traveling from another country to apply for a US visa in Canada?"

Selecting "yes" means I won't get an appointment for at least a year.

You are aware travel history is available to them on finger tips. The question you need to ask your self is , is this Risk worth taking . You don't want to use this forum to ask question in future about your VISA stamping got denied and you are physically in Canada and now what to do ..

The officers have been given additional motivation, you should not become their head count. Rest it is always your decision.

Agree but I live in Canada now (apart from US - anyone booking an h1 appointment will also be living in USA, so then the question doesn't make sense), and if I book an appointment while I'm in Canada then the technically correct answer is "no".
So wanted to know what was the real motivation behind the question.
