Hi there
I got my gcms notes 2 months ago and says
File in progress for 33 months more less
triage expedited
triage discrimination
Pre-populated template available H00003333.canada.docx
Anyone knows what this means thanks

Triage expedited: Your application was reviewed for priority processing or is marked to be processed faster due to some urgency (could be backlog reduction, vulnerability as a factor, etc).

Triage discrimination: your application was categorized based on a specific criteria (not disclosed).

Pre-populated template: There's a draft letter in place for approval, refusal, PFL, etc for you.

Would be helpful to know what else says "passed", if it says "interview recommended", "procedural fairness", "PSDEC", etc? Anything else of that nature that indicates the progress?

I don't know why this issue of cancellations of H&C through bill C12 is so LOUD on this platform than the news been aired on the mainstream media. why would 49000 applications be such a huge problem to the progress of immigration in a country like Canada? there are so many pressing issues at the moment.
We all compared the previous cancellations during the former regime in 2012 but fail to understand that the FSWP applications were mostly out-lands (MAJORITY) of whom do not have ties to the country. This move was part of the "Economic Action Plan 2012" (Bill C-38) to shift toward a "just-in-time" immigration system. Also, the application backlog was already towering above 600,000.

On March 30th, 2012, new legislation was introduced dictating that any application that had not received a positive decision as of March 29th, 2012 would be terminated. The applications submitted prior to 28 February 2008 as well as government processing fees would be returned to the senders. Because of this decision, approximately 95% of the remaining pre-2008 applications was returned. This amounts to the elimination of approximately 300,000 applications.

I personally don't think the cancellation of 50k H&C applications would have been the core reasons for seeking Bill C12, where they could easily have the backlogs eliminated through a legislative amendment.
You cannot compare the uniqueness of this program by its humanitarian standards and core value it holds to protect those who already established themselves in the country! The Minister and few of her entourage have been quizzed severally by HON. Michelle Rempel Garner on the issues of H&C cancellations and the answer remained the same. NO!. its almost like saying that the Asylum System will be cancelled and restarted, how possible can that even be? These are special programmes that can either be stalled for new applications or given special reforms to curb backlogs rather than TOTAL cancellations. Until i hear otherwise from the minister herself after the bill receive its royal assent, I am still believing that it will work out. Thanks
Hi Everyone, I came across this video on Youtube where Canadian Senators grill IRCC and public safety ministers on proposed changes to the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act that could allow the government to mass cancel, suspend or change immigration documents.
Kindly pay attention to the testimony of Tara Lang (Director General Integrity Policy and programs) break down the difference between "status" and "documents" and what this means for PR holders and that which is not included in the C12 bill which of course, she mentioned H&C.
The reason I am putting this video here is because of the chaos and clamours on the cancellation of H&C applications which has instilled fears amongst so many people most.

If there were "passed" remarks in your GCMS, it would have been very easy to say that your application is going to get a positive result. Without that it is still a waiting game. When a draft is created and your application has nothing but "passed" in it -> that's usually a very good sign.

I asked my MP to inquire as it's been 9 months after AIP and this is the response -According to IRCC the assessments for eligibilities, criminalities and medical are in progress and the security clearance has not started. Also, the medical was done for the primary applicant only, dependants are still waiting for the request. How much more time should I expect to reach finish line?

Longer than 9 months.

I haven't watched it yet - what's it saying? I usually don't involve myself in politics so I thought I'd rather ask about the key takeaways? My Youtube is all "nice stuff" and I don't want to go through an incognito window to watch this :D
Unfortunately, Indian people recently abused another immigration program which is Family/Domestic Violence, including sexual and physical threats , sadly they just keep abusing our immigration programs and most of them are criminals based on IRCC data.

Gooday everyone and a happy new year! Please, how can an individual apply to return back to Canada when they departed and was given a certificate of departure? He sought refugee in Canada but was denied and this resulted in a mental stress for the individual. He attended the CBSA office to tell them about his situation and was promptly arrested and then given the option of leaving to come back or he will be deported. He had to take the former option and so he wants to come back again. How will he go about it? Will it be easy given the way Canada is all out to restrict people from going in. Thanks
Certificate of Departure, this usually relates to a Departure Order issued and enforced by the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA).
They must apply for ARC (Authorization to Return to Canada), if not they may apply either Possible if eligible under Spousal sponsorship, Express Entry, Provincial Nominee Program. A previous refugee refusal does not permanently bar PR but credibility concerns can affect future applications. Correct me if am wrong
