Please consult a lawyer before doing so. This is a very risky thing to do and if denied they will have difficulty visiting Canada. They have the option of a supervisa if want to spend a longer period of time in Canada. Many seem to be under the false impression
that H&C is a good option because PGP has not been opened and that parent sponsorship is guaranteed. The quota for H&C is incredibly small, processing is going to take many years unless reforms are made to the program and given the volume of parents who seem to be applying I would expect IRCC will likely target these applications since H&C is not a way to circumvent PGP. This seems to already be happening. Your parents (and typically a parent for higher chances of success) need to show extraordinary circumstances to have a good chance of H&C approval. Given that parent sponsorship was never guaranteed many should have made plans for their parenting their home country when choosing to immigrate. This has been highlighted in some of the JRs I have read recently after parents received H&C denials.

Can you share a link to some of the judicial reviews for these parent H&C denials?

Canuck,I think the user has asked how he/she can sign the forms, dont need to provide him/her other irrelevant negative information and scare him/her,I believe he/she is well aware of what he/she is doing,It sounds like you have some serious problems with peoples’ parents immigrating to canada or becoming pr via h and c routes, please try to change this mentality or keep your mouth shut at least because what you say sometimes about parents h and c application sounds really ridiculous/made up stories

Many are actually unaware of the potential negative consequences and many are under the false impression that parents get H&C approved relatively easy. It was likely easier in the past but given the volume of parents now applying and the very small quota for H&C and long processing times there are serious risks. Many parents will also end up out of status while waiting for processing which will also create complications for returning to visit if denied. Whether family can cover healthcare expenses when the ability to purchase private insurance becomes unavailable or to treat a chronic health issue also needs to be a consideration. Hospitals are running deficits so many now want balance right away and no longer offer payment plans. I read the JR results posted on Canlii. We also have seen examples of parents getting denied on this forum. H&C was never meant to circumvent PGP but many people are using it that way. Sadly some lawyers and consultants are also not truthful with their clients and present H&C as an easy option because they want to secure their business. There are also communities encouraging people to apply presenting this as an easy pathway which it is not.

Does this mean the applicant can continue work when H&C application in progress? No need to take any approval from IRCC or any other related parties?
