Hello everyone, hope you are all staying safe.

I and my wife have applied for h and c due to health conditions and disability of my son. We came on a visitor visa and got visitor visa insurance after coming here which is ( health insurance) now going to be expired. My question is that if we have now already applied for h and c, do we get any health coverage before stage 1 and if not do we need to buy private insurance until stage 1 is complete ?

Please guide

Thanks

There is no health care coverage until after you have stage 1 approval. You will need to either purchase additional private insurance or pay for any health care costs yourselves.

There isn’t stage 1 approval anymore. You will have to plan on extended your emergency coverage for around 3 years and paying for any routine care out of pocket. H&C is not guaranteed.

Hope for best and prepared for worse!

Hard to say, I waited 23 months just to start to processing. Could be a couple of months or more than a year, unpredictable
When your application beginning to process it's Depending on your case manager how big is your Files If your file is not thick process time very fast may between 9 to 18 months if your file is thick it’s 12 to 24 months for first stage if you complete your medical fee and background your in good shape your chance are 99%
