Sadly I was right which was clear if you have been monitoring the data and processing times experienced by current applicants.
I guess it might also be a measure to stop people from actually seeking for this program unnecessarily, because sometimes, i kind of wonder how visa processing from countries like UK, France and few other europeans countries have lower processing times for similar visa types. They recruit more manpower to handle all the inventories and results still come out on time either approval or denial. or what do you guys think

The issue is the volume of applicants and limited PR quota allocation. Canada has had a huge surge of immigration over the past 5+ years and this H&C mess is one of the consequences. Most who don’t have another pathway to PR are filing H&C.

yes absolutely. if lower manpower is the issue that should be addressed but here it seems more issues than manpower.

Yes seeing realistic processing times and knowing H&C does not prevent removal is also meant to be a deterrent for current and future applicants. Would assume many who have applied in especially 2024/25 may consider withdrawing their file.

I applied on July 2023 got removed in September 2023 and received AIP in Aug 2025 now its showing 40 months for me

You can put in your application date and it will show how long you will still have to wait to be processed.
I think people that received AIP is different
Because it gives you olny one option which is when you Applied.
They should include another option which is did you receive Aip?

If you got AIP in a similar timeline to others shouldn’t make a huge difference since the yearly PR quota remains the biggest issue that determines processing time. We don’t know what the backlog is like for those who were granted AIP. We also don’t know if the target for 2025 has already been met. Not a perfect system but a much better picture of actual reality of what is happening with H&C. I still expect there will need to be huge reforms to the system like C2 would allow. The system is no longer functional. This is why I would suggest people have a plan B and do proactive things like learn French.

Your application may take longer than the times shown here. They’re not a maximum or a guarantee.

Agree nobody can count on processing times but they should give a more realistic picture of processing times. People looking to apply or who have applied in 2024/25 may want to consider other more realistic options.
