Hello everyone, I applied for group 5 in May 2024 and after receiving the confirmation message for 20+ months there has been no further messages from them, I haven't received my AOR. Is this normal or something went wrong?

Waiting 20+ months with no AOR is not normal. AOR typically comes within weeks to a few months. My suggestions are,
Contact IRCC via webform
Contact you borough MP (can’t speed things up directly, but they can confirm status or flag issues, so you get a real answer instead of another generic reply)
Request a GCMS Notes (only if a file number is confirmed)

Also uganda is 28 month but I didn't understand this 28month is going to start after I summit application or after I received g number

from what I understand, your processing time is retroactively tied to the date of submission, not the date the G-number was issued.

Mine I have applied 2024.8.30. And I have received G number 2025.8.1 within a year but in still waiting sponsor approval 8 Mon

No, because I had missing documents! And I have submitted them maybe you should reread your email incase you're missing some documents they will inform you. Someone I know in Kampala who started with me have got both file number and approval.

Did you check incase you might have missing documents? Check your email when they sent you the G number there could be a letter requesting for additional documents

No there is nothing else they ask for, they only said that "a preliminary review of all the documents submitted as part of your application, it has been determined that your application is complete". and the next step is "An officer at ROC-O will begin the assessment of the sponsorship application, based on the date it was received in office and render a decision to either approve or refuse your sponsorship".

You are unfortunately at the beginning his the process which could mean you still have years to go. This is not a fast process.

Yeah i know from approval to interview to medical to Arrival still along time to wait what about you still no respond from them you are waiting the approve of the sponsor right?

The only thing that has happened is that your application has reviewed to ensure all parts of the application have been included.

You would get a G number because your file has been reviewed and is complete.
