grandfather sponsoring by providing a fixed deposit !!

Hi ppl,

would just like to know whether my grandfather can sponsor by providing me with an FD , he has just given me a xerox copy of the deposit form of the fixed deposit which I would later on be getting it notarized .
It is also clearly specified in the affadivit of support as well regarding his support.

hope this will work or is there anything req that i should be getting for this from my grandfather.

Yes, my grandfather provided me with an FD and I took an education loan against it.

All in all, you have to take an education loan against the FD and that's it!

I have an education loan aswell which I took against my property nd grandfathers fd is just to boost my finances..

is it mandatory to take educational loan against the fd.. cant we use the bank statement mentioning Fixed Deposit amount as such to apply for visa?

If u buy gic u dont need education loan for applying in spp however if u r applying under general category u can either get education loan or gic

Ill be applying in university category. I have fd in fathers account. Planning to take GIC. Will the bank statement on fd be sufficient along with sponsorship letter.
