Graduation Year for OINP

I am filling my expression of interest for OINP. It asks for my graduation year for bachelor's degree.

I completed my bachelor's in 2016, however, my degree was awarded in 2017(my school has a weird system of giving out degrees one year after the end of classes). On the degree certificate they say "he has successfully completed in the year 2016 the requirements prescribed for the award of this degree. Given this day, the 20th April 2017, under the seal of institute"

Now, the question is what should I put in the "graduation year" field, 2016 or 2017?

I would put the date that shows up in your degree.

Well, if it is written on the degree itself that you completed all the requirements in 2016, you could put that as the date and include in your application a letter of explanation to let them know your school awards degrees 1 year after the requirements are completed., just so there is no room for doubt.
