does it delay your process to request these notes?

NO it does not delay the processing of your application!!

If its a physical file meaning they send a CD it just delays them sending your CAIPS NOTES.
So always request an email file this way it goes faster for you and them... Hope this helps?

No having it order on cd or email doesn't make difference at all. What makes the difference is whether you order physical or electronic file. Electronic means they can key in your data in their computer and generate GCMS report, On the other hand physical means they actually have to search your physical file to work on it.

NO you are wrong!!!!

It takes longer to order CAIPES NOTES when you ask for physical file which is crazy!!!

As I said it does not delay the processing of your application at all!!

When you order CAIPS NOTES by physical file it can take 60 days you get a CD!
If you order CAIPS NOTES by email it takes 30 or less.................

I think you actually agree with nsr!

Except that it's also possible to receive the electronic file on a CD. He's saying neither of these affects your PR application, as long as it is only the notes you're requesting.

Let me make it easy for you to get and guide others...

1. ordering Electronic file- on CD or Email-NO PROBLEM
2. ordering Physical file- on CD or Email- PROBLEM because it will/can delay your processing.

CD or EMAIL doesn't make difference, Just for CD adds 2-3 days postal time but it has nothing to do with the processing of your file.

What makes the difference is choosing Electronic or Physical file.

I hope you get it this time.

It will just delay processing time for gcms notes ordering the physical not the actual processing time for my actual sponsorship??

It can delay processing of your actually sponsorship process too....the way it works is I think when we request physical...then they have to pull out your actual paper work from the bunch of files at new Delhi....after when they put it back in queue it depends where they put....its like extra work for visa officer I believe.....this is just my thinking on physical file processing....seniors may know better...

Wow that's really good you told me this. In the email they gave me address where they are located at its like 20 min away from where I live. Going to go in person and stop physical copy. Thanks for the info. Funny thing is when I did orginal request I remember selecting electronic copy I even double checked getting worried now it will delay my application process

Salam you are 100% wrong!!
It will not delay the processing of your application for Immigration. Some of you have no idea and just think its like this when in fact you have no proof.

I for one know and the proof is on the site for Immigration where it states that any info about your application through Access to Information never delays your file and they encourage you do to do so as its leaves them alone at Immigration. As Access to Information is a Canadian Right In Sha Allah

Everybody knows that the information is available on CIC website and all knows that its our right to access this information. So obviously they are not going to say on website that using your right will delay your processing.

Thing is do you have personal experience of dealing with physical file ordering and not effecting your application? If you do only then tell others to do that way or otherwise not.

Second thing, people on this forum wants to get information based on others experience. If they just want to follow CIC then they don't need to be here asking each other. They can check thereself on CIC website.

Also, I said it CAN delay your processing if you read properly in specifically for choosing Physical file. CAN means it can not it will. I am suggesting him by reading by reading others experience . The whole talk is about Physical ordering instead of electronic..I don't know what you mixing it up with.

Only guarantee the stuff you have been through, otherwise just suggest. Do not give 100 percent yes yes to others without having personal experience as it may effect their application and hence situation.

Again this all discussion is/was about physical file. Do not mix it with electronic file. Electronic file is convenient to order for us whether on email or cd.

Just to give an update on the situation

I went to see Information Commissioner office at following location:
Information Commissioner
Place de Ville, Tower B
112 Kent Street
7th Floor

That's who sent me the original email, they did not know too much of whats going on asked me to contact CIC and chances are I will be getting physical copy. So I was close CIC drove over and there doors are locked, rang door bell and he told me to call the 1-800-242-2100 number lol.

Called the number after 15 min wait got an agent, who told me chances are if in email saying that it's written a physical copy then that's what they will send. He said it's good that i replied back to change to electronic copy and wait for them to respond or just wait for physical copy. HE SAID ORDERING A PHYSICAL COPY DOES IN NO WAY DELAY MY ACTUAL PROCESSING OF MY WIFE'S APPLICATION.

I will just wait for the phyiscal copy now at this point, I was told pysical copy takes longer but is more detailed than the electronic copy and will have more information on it. That's what they said at the Information Commissioner office, not sure if it's true though

That's good information.

I said the opposite above, that it would delay the application. I stand corrected!

Hi All,

Please I need your comment on the FOSS Notes that I received by email today. I contacted my MP last Month on the status of my spouse Inland PR application after we received AIP in January 2013.

Does the note mean that a decision will be taken before September, 1, 2013?
