Got Request for Updated Information - Whats next

Hi guyz,

I applied in 2004 and got AOR in Aug-2004 now i got request for updated info. I have few doubts regarding showing proof of funds and taking IELTS exam.

1. I own a plot worth 5 lacs and jewels worth 5 lacs how should I show the proof of funds?. pls suggest me.

2. I took IELTS exam in 2004 itself and scored 6.5. Do I have to take the exam again now and send the Test Results?. We got only 90 days to update all the information.

by the by I am from chennai.

you have to show cash value as mentioned below.

Funds required to settle in Canada.

The Government of Canada provides no financial support to new skilled worker immigrants. You must
prove that you have enough money unencumbered by debts or obligations to support yourself and your
family members after you arrive in Canada.
The required funds are equal to or greater than the amount listed below for each family size:
You must meet all criteria at the time you submit your application.

Do I have to show bank statement?... will affidavit from relative in canada stating that they will take care will help us?

Any idea on my query on IELTS?

Hello

I applied in June 2008, you might be aske dto show bank statement , Thats the only way you can show the proof of the asked funds.

IELTS can be exempted based on certain rules, But 99 times out of 100 IELTS is required.

Can you advise me as when to expect the AOR? I had applied my PR in the month of June at CIC London.

Here to receive AOR from New Delhi it takes 2 to 4 months..Sure it will take lesser time than this as you have submitted in London. All the best.
