I have quite a confusing situation that I hope you guys can help me with.
The company that sent me the employment letter and that wants me to go to work for in Montréal has already applied for the CAQ and the LMIA number so the documents are ready.
I read about the possibility to apply for a work permit at the border, being the processing time of work permits online very very long sometimes.
I have an eTa and by reading online the requirements for the possibility to apply for a work permit when entering Canada is not to have the need of a visa, which happens in my case only when entering Canada by bus/car.
I was thus wondering if, by traveling to the US I can then enter Canada by bus and request my work permit in this way. Is it advised? Frowned upon?
