Got a call for final PR interview without having passport request.

Hi Guys,
i am slightly confused here. i got an email form CIC REGARDING my final interview for PR.
they ask me to bring , passport , fee paid slip , photographs,temporary resident status (work permit)
i have applied in express entry in CEC category. i haven't received any passport request, and on my application nothing is updated yet apart from my medical is completed , they are still doing (background check status) .
help my out , i m little confused and worried.

When they ask you to come in for an interview, they dont send a passport request. Its approved on the spot after the interview if the VO is satisfied

my case is unique , as i previously mentioned nothing is updated on my status except medical .

Is it always like this for CEC applications now or its ramdom?

It random I think , but now a days more and more people are getting interview calls these days

i got email from cic- Winnipeg office but they havewrong pin code on there email id, rest of the address matched when i cross verify with google.
any thoughts?

I too have same situation asked me for interview at Hamilton but i am in India due to family emergency and my work permit is also expired so basically i cannot go to Canada and I don't know whether this document of final interview allows me to enter Canada?
Can someone help me out?
Is there a way to do this interview in india?

You cannot attend a landing interview anywhere else other than in Canada. You should have informed IRCC about your change of address so that they could have acted accordingly. Inform them about your situation and request them to issue you COPR and one time visa. Your interview letter should have the dates/contact details listed if you cannot attend the interview.
